A Different Approach
The CSB approach to learning differs from the traditional four-year school and community
college approach. CSB views itself as a training center with very specific goals
and objectives that offers a complete training program.
A complete training program is not only concerned with student academic and skill
development, but also with building confidence and the necessary employability traits
to be highly successful on the job.
CSB's personalized, problem-solving employability-development approach is designed
to do the following:
- Provide programs of study that include only subjects that are considered relevant
to a student’s training needs—no unnecessary subjects.
- Scrutinize the objectives, evaluating procedures, contents (amount and practicality),
outline, and classroom materials of each subject through curriculum meetings of
all instructors involved with a subject.
- Monitor all aspects of a student’s training—academic progress, employability progress,
and the academic challenge of each subject.
- Provide in-depth job search preparation skills.
- Provide an effective personal job placement service for immediate needs as well
as future placement assistance.
