Community Service Club
The CSB Community Service Club is designed for students interested in volunteering
their time and developing a closer relationship with peers. Activities and events
for local community charities are sponsored on campus in York and Lancaster. Meetings
are scheduled regularly.
Counseling
At CSB, the faculty and staff take time to get to know you. We care about your academic
and social well being which is why we’ve developed programs to assist you through
your transition into higher education.
- Academic - New students are scheduled into a Personal and Study Skills Development
class to become more acquainted with CSB and it’s requirements. In addition, the
School Director will review transcripts every six weeks and meet with any student who may
be experiencing academic difficulty. Tutoring services are available to assist students
in need.
- Personal - We understand taking on a new challenge can be difficult. Any student
experiencing personal, social or economic difficulty is encouraged to see their
school director for a referral to outside professionals for counseling.
- Drug/Alcohol - CSB offers a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program to help students
find the appropriate resources for counseling and treatment.

Career Placement
While most schools simply hand you a diploma upon graduation and send you on your
way, CSB places a heavy emphasis on helping our graduates secure training-related
employment. Our placement services are available to graduates of both our diploma
and ASB degree programs.
As a student at CSB, you’ll have access to a host of career-development services.
Our full-time placement directors will work with you to create resumes, cover letters,
and professional portfolios as part of a required job-search preparation course.
You’ll also benefit from lectures on interviewing and networking techniques, visits
by guest speakers, and participation in a mock interview.
Before graduation, all students participate in an internship in their course of
study, arranged by CSB’s placement department. Internships provide an excellent
opportunity for students to gain real-world experience, to make valuable contacts,
and can sometimes lead to employment prospects.
At CSB, we measure our success by the success of our graduates. It’s one of the
reasons we make our placement services available to our alumni.
