In this ASB degree program, students develop advanced-level office, communication and microcomputer skills, as well as an understanding of the legal terminology and office procedures involved in working in a legal office. The coursework offers students the opportunity to develop skills for drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and preparing for trial and appellate procedures. Students also are introduced to various fields of substantive law, such as civil and criminal litigation, legal research and writing, wills, trusts and estates, and family law.

Positions held by graduates of this program include: legal office secretary, legal administrative assistant, legal transcriptionist, paralegal and more.
